We interviewed 5 contractors, and I have to say the only one who impressed me right from the start was CHIZLD! We removed a wall between our living room and kitchen to open the area up and we also had a number of bulkheads removed. To look at the area now one would never know that there had been any previous structures in place. We had a 16'x12' tiled floor removed and they were able to save the sub-floor beneath it which was in perfect condition, saving us time and money. Their attention to the fine details and their hard work ethic was very much appreciated, and well worth the money. The quality of workmanship and on schedule timeline enabled the company who we had hired to build our cabinets for us to come in at the agreed measuring time with no delay on our delivery, and they appreciated the quality of workmanship as well. You will not be disappointed in hiring CHIZLD to do your work for you, an investment well worth the money!

The men were very professional, punctual, and hard working. They stayed late when needed (had a day of rain to make up for) to keep within timeline of project. They actually listened to all our concerns (in my experience, most just pretend to listen then brush you off) and took good care of them. They took care of all our budget concerns, even returning excess material to help bring down costs. They were even courteous of the pets in the house. We are very happy with the outcome. Our room looks beautiful, definitely a showpiece. It is obvious that these men are professionals and know what they're doing. We have already recommended them to family and will use them again for future projects, big and small. They even vacuumed afterwards and cleaned the windows.

My husband and I started looking for a contractor for our renovation project in April 2018, after numerous frustrating experiences with other contractors we finally sent an invitation to CHIZLD. CHIZLD was able to meet with us and provide us with a timely quote which was within our budget and a reasonable time. We were finally able to move forward with our project. The CHIZLD crew were professional and courteous through the project. They were willing to answer all of our questions as the project progressed. They were contentiousness of cleaning up after themselves daily, leaving no mess for us to have to clean up. They finished the project timely and on budget. Although we are still waiting on the glass for the shower, my husband and I could not be happier with the outcome of the project to date. We would happily recommend them to anyone considering a renovation of their bathroom.

We are extremely happy with CHIZLD Construction and Design on the work they did for us in our master bathroom and closet project. They were very quick to respond when initially contacted and were able to come right out to give us a detailed quote. They were able to work with our timeline as to when we wanted the project to start as well. The attention to detail and the ideas that they developed to create our dream bathroom far exceeded our initial expectations. They cleaned up after each work day and were in constant communication with us every step of the way. CHIZLD built us a detached 2 car garage. We were very impressed right from the start. CHIZLD had a professional manner and asked intelligent questions to help us come up with a design that best suited our needs. They considered details that we never even thought about, like what kind of a concrete slab and the proportions of the doors to the roof height and pitch. Their estimate was prompt, detailed and reasonable. The work began a few days ahead of the scheduled start date, and once the concrete slab was poured and “cured” (28 days!) they got to work. In spite of bad weather, these guys showed up everyday. They did beautiful precision work. I saw them measuring and checking and levelling all the time. The building went up quickly. CHIZLD was always available to answer questions and kept us posted about the progress. We were lucky that we did not encounter any problems (other than bad weather) but I am confident that any problems would have been dealt with properly. At the end of the project they cleaned up and left the site really nice and tidy. We are delighted with our garage and very happy to have found CHIZLD. We are already planning our next project and I can wholeheartedly recommend these contractors.

These contractors are amazing. They were so helpful I'm finding it hard to express the gratitude that we have towards them. They explained everything in detail and when they came across an issue, they didn't assume anything. They called me right away and made sure I was comfortable with the changes to the plan. When we thought the project was done, we paid them in full. CHIZLD was not happy with a small detail on the custom made hardwood maple floors, so they came back several times to make sure that it was perfect, even after I had already paid. The integrity of their work makes them the ultimate professionals. My wife was elated with the results. These guys weren't just happy when they got paid, they were happy when the job was done to perfection!

During a very stressful home renovation, we hired CHIZLD to complete all the finishes in our home. We have a very old, wonky, not square house, and CHIZLD were able to make it all work by customizing every piece to fit the space. We replaced all the door frames, and hung the original old doors. They even got the old door knobs working as well! Our trim was also installed and casing around all the windows and doors, along with getting our old furnace vents working. Great job! The workmanship is top notch, attention to detail second to none and every task was completed diligently and with a smile. We would not hesitate to hire CHIZLD again at any time for any project should the need arise.
